After
that we went shopping. Kadhow really enjoys traveling in the truck and we
always find a spot to park in the shade and/or leave the air-con running.
Several shops, because of our truck and of Kadhow, start to know us already
(and they will remember us).
We found
everything we needed and I was really surprised about the (high) prices for concrete form-work wood.
To be
honest, I love to work with wood. It is a natural and for me high energetic natural
material. I feel very attractive to it. The problem is this. Thailand really is
ruled by termites and ants. They are great animals to clean up and consume
wooden structures.
Also, at
our building site there are several active families.
Indeed,
it’s the part/season of the year as well but wood, most of the times, only is a
temporary option in constructions. After a couple of years, depending on the quality of the wood
and the curing you will not find it back anymore. So for most part of our process
we will use other materials (except for the yoga and meditation studio.
Today we
discovered literally some underestimated costs.
I like to
give something, so our process as well, a ‘face’. No ‘smoke curtains but
quality.
Reason
why we ordered the first trees and plants (not to big because they will grow the coming years we
hope). 600 THB (around 17 Euros) each.
This
afternoon dog Kadhow, walking free at our construction site, started to bark
and wanted to get rid of some cows who liked to eat the still green grass at the at the moment mostly dry pond.
We did
not put the plants and trees in the land yet. But, although we were told cows
do not like the type of plants we bought, they gave it a try…. It seemed
to be a wedding party meal for them… I was not amused.
This
afternoon, around 2 PM, temperatures were 44 degrees C. So we decided to slow
down the process of constructing.
Where we
intended to sleep at the construction site for the first time tomorrow, we decided to wait till all basic things are ready and the air-con inverter system is in.
We want to live a lifestyle without stress. So… no problem, we can stay longer at the hotel and will manage and…. enjoy the process of every step.
