Unloading the truck from what we bought yesterday and organizing the construction site a bit. Lucky to find my glasses after two days back again. I lost them after I was bitten by red ants during cutting the bushes not seeing a big nest.
After that working on the sewage system its soakaway field. Around 10.30 AM the company who arranged the drilling of the water well came to install the pump and clear the well. It took about 1.5 hours to fix it. Just at that time I had the generator ready. We expect to have electricity end of the week.
It is a small generator for emergencies only but... good working. The water supply to fill the water storage tank will be more with the Provincial Power Network.
In around 15 minutes the water was clear. We cannot drink it (as most places in Thailand) but it is the general water supply for use in the bathrooms (toilets, showers), the garden and kitchen.
After things were running I started to work on the electricity and to mark the trails for the digging machine to come this week. We needed some materials and went with the truck to have lunch and buy the stuff we needed.
Bad luck. Sad the truck gave up... because of problems with the cooling system. So we parked the truck on the highway and walked to a restaurant where the boyfriend of one of the waitresses was a car mechanic. In 15 minutes he was there (while we were enjoying a nice lunch (and a cool beer). We went to the workshop and the truck need to stay there for repair.
So happy not to have a fixed schedule. One of the car mechanics was willing to bring us back to the village. Because he had a brand new pick-up truck. Together with Kadhow I took place at the loading space of the truck. New experience for Kadhow ;).
For some safety now we put the Mazda on the land and stored our hardware there where we first used the cabin of the truck in the evenings. Very soon we will live there so we can keep an eye on what's going on during the night.
Some pictures of today.
